Asset & equipment finance: Pay for the machine while it earns.
Spread the cost over the working life of the kit. The machine itself is the security, so lenders look at it and at how your business is trading, not at your property.

The deal
What you get.
The usual terms. Every lender sets its own.
- New or used, from one machine or van to a whole fleet
- Hire purchase to own it at the end, or a lease to use it, then hand it back or upgrade
- Payments that can follow your income: lower in quiet months, or smaller at first while a new machine gets going
- Bought from a dealer, at auction or privately

Questions
Straight answers.
Something we haven’t covered? Ring us. You’ll get a plain answer from someone who knows the lenders, not a script.
Often, yes. On older or higher-value kit the lender usually wants an inspection or valuation first. We arrange it with them, so it isn’t left to you.
Not always. Established businesses buying mainstream kit can sometimes put nothing down. A deposit often gets you a better rate, though.
With hire purchase you can usually claim capital allowances (tax relief on equipment you buy). With a lease the payments are usually treated as a running cost of the business. Your accountant can confirm which suits you, and we’ll price both.
Tell us early. Some lenders will consider a business with a loss-making year, a county court judgment (CCJ) or a short trading history, and we know which ones. Expect the rate to reflect the extra risk.
A larger final payment, set by what the machine should be worth at the end. It lowers the monthly payments, but you need a plan for that last sum: sell the machine, refinance it or pay it off.
